Detectives have launched a murder probe after the bodies of a man and woman were discovered around 15 miles apart in Gloucestershire.
A man is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder, while police enquiries continue.
Officers were called to Sherborne Place in Cheltenham at around 6.25am on Wednesday where the body of a man was found, Gloucestershire Police said.
An investigation was launched and the body of a woman was later discovered at an address in the rural village of Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds, some 15 miles away.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Those involved in the incident are known to each other and officers are not currently seeking anyone else in connection.”
Detectives are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that could be relevant to the investigation.
