Rapper Snoop Dogg is moving ahead with his plans of opening a Bored Ape themed dessert restaurant in Los Angeles.
He’s collaborating with Food Fighters Universe to launch the restaurant in the city. This dessert restaurant comes after another eatery was opened this spring in LA, called Bored and Hungry. The Bored and Hungry was an establishment inspired by The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs.
The team behind the upcoming restaurant is the one who launched Bored and Hungry too.

What is Dr Bombay’s Sweet Exploration?
The upcoming dessert restaurant in Los Angeles is the brainchild of Food Fighters Universe and Snoop Dogg. The new eatery will be named Dr Bombay’s Sweet Exploration and will be an “immersive retail dessert experience”.
The startup behind this eatery’s concept took to Twitter to announce the news about Snoop Dogg joining hands with them.
In a tweet dated 3rd June 2022, the official handle of Food Fighters Universe featured a video of the rapper, along with the caption “Announcing the newest member on the Food Fighters Universe team @SnoopDogg AKA Dr Bombay 👀”.
Who are The Food Fighters Universe?
The startup behind the upcoming Snoop Dogg dessert eatery in LA is called the Food Fighters Universe. It is a startup,co-founded by Andy Nguyen, Kevin Seo and Phillip Huynh.
The Food Fighters Universe is a collection of 10,000 unique food fighters, on the Ethereum blockchain. FFU aims to bring the real-life utility of NFTs into the mainstream. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to develop the world’s first NFT-backed restaurant group.

There is a goal of building gathering spaces in real life and in the metaverse. This will provide the FFU NFT holders access to some cool resources and experiences.
The project, in past, has collaborated with a list of other eateries Dough and Arrow, Matte Black Coffee and Afters Ice cream to name some.

Snoop Dogg and NFTs: What’s the Connection?
Snoop Dogg’s presence is an integral part of the strategy for the upcoming Dr Bombay’s Sweet Exploration. The rapper is a part of various other projects such as The Sandbox on the Ethereum blockchain and Clay Nation on the Cardano blockchain.
The rapper has been quite proactive and intrigued by NFTs, and owns a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT himself. In fact, Dr Bombay is the name that Snoop gave to his BAYC avatar.
Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus, whose Twitter username is Champ Medici, is also deeply involved in this restaurant project. “Food Fighters Universe is bridging food and Web3 and blazing a trail with real-life utility for NFTs,” said Cordell, Snoop’s son in a statement. “It’s the future of the restaurant industry, and my dad and I are thrilled to join the team and utilize their expertise to bring Dr Bombay to life” he added.
Technically and legally speaking, this eatery isn’t an official Bored Ape Yacht Club eatery in any manner.
However, Snoop Dogg is allowed to use his trademark NFT logo to promote and decorate his restaurant. In this case, owning the digital picture is proof and serves as evidence of ownership and creates a way to access a community of other owners.
The Growing BAYC Popularity
The Bored Ape Yacht Club has always remained one of the most popular NFTs available. It consists of 10,000 different avatars of apes and is owned b a lot of celebrities.
Created by Yuga Labs, the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs allow the owners to use their photographs for commercial purposes. It’s due to very this reason that BAYC NFTs are used for a variety of purposes such as packaging and even TV productions.
With more than $2.1 billion in secondary market trading volume, the NFT collection saw its market value increase to almost $1 billion, as the trading volume rose by 176%.
