Singer Tom Parker has been posthumously shortlisted for a National Television Award following his death from a brain tumour at the age of 33.
The Wanted star made a documentary, Inside My Head, about living with the illness and organising a fundraising concert in aid of cancer charities in 2021, after being diagnosed with the inoperable growth the previous year.
Parker, who died at a hospice near his home in southeast London on 30 March, is shortlisted for the authored documentary NTA alongside TV presenter Kate Garraway for her programme Caring For Derek, sharing insights into her husband Derek Draper’s struggle with the long-term effects of coronavirus.
