An Uber driver has told how he “could have died” after witnessing a fatal crash which saw a Range Rover flip over and end up on train tracks.
Nawaf Ali, 40, says he was planning to park next to a motorist who was later injured in the crash before changing his mind and pulling into another space.
He added that he heard a “noise like an aircraft crashing” when the 4×4 came “flying over a metal barrier”.
Mr Ali said the scene after the collision was “like a horror movie”.
A woman in her 20s, who was the passenger in the Range Rover, died at the scene after the crash on the A40 westbound near Park Royal Tube station in west London at 3.50am on Monday.
It is unclear how fast the vehicle was travelling but footage shows orange sparks fly as the 4×4 crashes through the metal barriers of a Tesla showroom at speed.
A police source said the vehicle then “flipped into the station, landing on the tracks”.

The driver is in a critical condition in hospital, while police said the condition of a second passenger in the Range Rover is not life-threatening.
All three people in the vehicle were in their 20s.
A man in his 50s, who had been with a stationary Tesla at a row of charging points at the showroom, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police previously said the person was female.
Mr Ali, who has two teenage children, told MailOnline he planned to park his own Tesla alongside the other motorist before changing his mind and parking a few bays away.
He said: “I could have died last night, and my kids would not have a father.”
Mr Ali continued: “Where I was standing was where the car came over the barrier. If I had been standing a few feet away then I would have been hit. I am still shaking thinking about it.”
Reflecting on the moment the Range Rover came crashing through the car park outside the showroom, the Uber driver added: “Suddenly there was a noise like an aircraft crashing. It was so loud. I ducked my head down and this car came flying over the metal barrier. The noise was incredible, but then it was silent.”
Mr Ali was uninjured in the crash but says he is still suffering from shock. He returned home after speaking to police.
The father-of-two said he called 999 “straight away” and was asked to “livestream” the scene to ambulance control before paramedics arrived.
He continued: “There was a lot of debris all over the place. I was walking around, then I saw the body of the young woman. It was awful. I did not see her at first and wasn’t sure it was a body. It was only when I got closer that I could make her out.
“When I saw that I just ran back to my car. It was too much. I could not stand to look at it. It was like a horror movie, but only much worse. I do not want to see anything like that ever again.”
Mr Ali added he will never use the Tesla charging station on the A40 again.
Witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, ref 905/22aug.
