Harry Kane is to read a tale about finding your inner lion as he becomes the latest star to read a CBeebies bedtime story.
The England captain appears on Monday’s BBC children’s TV programme (10 October) to narrate The Lion Inside, by Rachel Bright.
The story of self belief follows a shy mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar.
Kane chose the book himself because he reads it to his three children, who are all aged five or under.
“One of my favourite things to do is sit down with my children before bedtime and read them a book. I enjoy this quality time with them,” said Kane, 29.
“They especially love the book The Lion Inside so they will be extremely excited to hear this.”
The BBC said the broadcast of the episode of Bedtime Stories featuring The Lion Inside aligns with World Mental Health Day, also on 10 October, because of its themes of “friendship, confidence and self-esteem”.
