A man has been found guilty of killing six people by driving his car into a Christmas parade near Milwaukee last year.
Darrell Brooks faced 77 charges, including six counts of homicide, related to the attack on 21 November in Waukesha, about 15 miles from downtown Milwaukee.
Dozens were injured in the incident.
Brooks initially pleaded guilty by reason of mental disease but withdrew that plea in September.
The following month he dismissed his lawyers and began representing himself. He tried to argue that the vehicle had a throttle malfunction.
Prosecutors said Brooks had fled in the SUV after an argument with his girlfriend, but they didn’t know why he drove into the parade other than being enraged.
