A second woman has accused Herschel Walker of paying for her to have termination despite his claims to oppose abortion.
Mr Walker, a former NFL star, is running for senate in his home state of Georgia in the midterm elections next month. His campaign is focused on family values and is critical of absent fathers, but it has emerged he has children he does not see.
He has also seized upon what is likely to be one of the defining issues of the midterms, the right to choose abortion or not. Mr Walker professes to be pro-life and says that abortion is a “woman killing her baby.”
But two women have now claimed that they became pregnant by him and he then put pressure on them to terminate the pregnancy.
The latest woman to break her silence, speaking anonymously, said she and Walker had an affair for six years, during which she became pregnant.
“After discussing the pregnancy with Herschel several times, he encouraged me to have an abortion and gave me the money to do so,” the woman said.
“I went to a clinic but couldn’t go through with it. I left the clinic in tears. When I told Herschel what had happened, he was upset and said that he was going to go back with me to the clinic the next day for me to have the abortion. He then drove me to the clinic the following day and waited for hours in the parking lot until I came out. He then drove me to get medications and supplies as prescribed and then drove me home,” she added.

The woman’s voice faltered as she claimed Mr Walker distanced himself from her after that day in April 1993.
Woman felt ‘pressured’ to have abortion
“I was devastated because I felt that I had been pressured into having an abortion,” she said.
She also denied she was politically motivated in her decision to speak up. “I am a registered independent and voted for former President Trump in the last two elections,” she said, “I do not believe that Herschel is morally fit to be a US Senator.”
The woman is being represented by the Hollywood lawyer Gloria Allred. She presented documents – a picture of Walker in a hotel room, a receipt for a Holiday Inn and a series of love letters – which she says proves the woman is telling the truth.
Walker dismisses allegations as ‘nonsense’
Earlier this month, Mr Walker denied a claim from another anonymous woman that he had paid for her to get an abortion in 2009.
On the campaign trail, Walker dismissed the latest allegations as nonsense.
“Now the Democrats are doing and saying anything they can to win this seat,” he said.

“But I want them to know they don’t know Herschel Walker. I told them when I got in this race, I’m gonna win. They now see that I am gonna win.”
Mr Walker is up against another well-known face, the Reverend Raphael Warnock, a pastor who supports abortion. Their race is likely to go down to the wire.
