A man has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a 63-year-old in south London 38 years ago.
Paul Bryan, of no fixed abode, is accused of killing Roman Szalajko in Seaton Close, Kennington, on 7 February 1984.
The 61-year-old will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today charged with murder and intent to possess and control identity documents.
Police arrested Bryan after he returned to the UK on a flight from Spain on Saturday.
Mr Szalajko’s family have been informed of the arrest and charge.
