A trailer for a new Netflix series presented by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been released, with climate change activist Greta Thunberg and New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern among the figures speaking about “inspiring life stories”.
A trailer has been released for Live To Lead – a show which Prince Harry says has been inspired by Nelson Mandela – and includes footage of the former South African president and anti-apartheid campaigner.
The promotional clip comes just a few days after the second batch of three episodes for the royal couple’s series Harry & Meghan aired on the streaming service.
The programmes contained damaging new allegations by the pair against the Royal Family, as the Sussexes also hit out at their treatment at the hands of the press.
The second volume of Harry & Meghan went much further than the first, with Harry accusing William of screaming and shouting at him at a summit meeting over “Megxit”, and saying he believes he and his wife lost their baby in 2020 because of coverage in the Mail.
Other revelations included Harry saying a joint statement was put out without his permission in his and his brother’s name, denying a story that William had “bullied” him out of the Royal Family. He also accused William’s office of trading stories – something they “promised” they would never do when they were younger.
In the short trailer for Live To Lead, Harry says: “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela who once said ‘what counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived…”
Meghan completes the quotation, saying: “…it is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
Referring to the new show, Netflix says on its website: “Leaders committed to making a difference in the world share their inspiring life stories in this series, executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan.”
