A 15-month-old girl was injured after being struck by a brick thrown through a bus window, police say.
The child was on the bus with her mother in Glasgow, Scotland, when she was hit on the head by the projectile – and the pram she was in was covered with broken glass from the shattered window.
The toddler was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be checked over and later released.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident – which took place on Tuesday in Battlefield Road at around 6.45pm – to contact them.
“Fortunately the baby was not seriously injured but this has left her mother extremely upset and distressed,” said Detective Inspector Darren Munogee.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw or knows the person who threw the brick to get in touch.
“In addition, anyone on the bus who has not already spoken to officers is asked to get in touch.”
