A missing woman has been found alive inside a car submerged in a lake.
A fisherman spotted the Jeep near a boat ramp in Texas’s Lake O’ the Pines – a reservoir – and reported the incident to officers, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.
Emergency services began removing the car from the water when they saw a woman inside who was alive and moving.
The woman was rescued and taken to a local hospital.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office said the fisherman “reported observing a black jeep submerged about forty feet from the Woody’s Camp boat ramp”.
“With the assistance of the wrecker service, fisherman, and Marion County deputies, a female was safely rescued from the submerged jeep. EMS responded to the location and transported the female to a local hospital,” a statement said.
“During the incident, it was determined the woman was listed as a missing person from the Longview Texas Police Department.”

Photos posted on the police department’s official Facebook page show images of the Jeep underwater and another of two men pulling someone out of the water and into a small boat.
The sheriff’s department said no evidence had been uncovered to indicate anything suspicious had caused the car to end up in the lake.
Captain Chuck Rogers of Marion County Sheriff Office said: “There was nothing uncovered during the investigation to suggest this case was anything more than an accident.”
