Road workers are going back to school on Wednesday after they misspelled “school” when painting a road.
Wales and West Utilities said the contractors working on their behalf were heading back to Llangyfelach Primary School in Swansea on Wednesday to repaint the markings with the correct spelling.
“Essential” work had been under way to upgrade the gas network in the area.
The work was completed on Tuesday and the road outside the school was replaced before contractors painted new markings.
A picture of the error was posted on social media and received many bemused responses.
The Welsh translation “ysgol” is also misspelled as “ysool”, but a Wales and West Utilities spokesperson insisted that was a historical error and not related to the recent work.
