A sixth suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was shot dead on his doorstep.
Neil Canney was seriously injured in an attack outside his house in Nairn Road, Greenock, at around 1.15am on Tuesday 28 February.
The 37-year-old was taken by ambulance to Glasgow‘s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died a short time later.
On Wednesday, Police Scotland confirmed a man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Kieran Hendry, 24, made no plea to the murder charge when he appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Hendry, of Greenock in Inverclyde, was remanded in custody and is expected back in the dock within the next eight days.

Five other men – aged 22, 23, 27, 28 and 38 – have already been arrested, charged and appeared at the sheriff court in connection with the case.
