A woman found dead in the River Severn has been named as a murder investigation continues.
The family of Natalie Dean, 34, said they are “distraught” at the “loss of our daughter and sister”, adding “she will be missed by us all”.
Natalie was found in the river in the Llanidloes area, Powys, mid-Wales at 4pm on Sunday, 28 May.
In a tribute issued through Dyfed-Powys Police, the family added: “We would like to thank everyone for their support at this horrific time. It has meant a lot to the whole family.
“We would now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privacy in which to do so.
“As a family, we encourage members of the public to support the police and contact [them] if you have any information of relevance.”
A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed or who has dashcam footage of a man and woman in Llanidloes or on the A470, between Llanidloes and Dolwen, at the weekend.
Police said the woman was wearing a grey top, dark trousers and white trainers. She was described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of small build, and with very long dreadlocks.
