The family of a 19-year-old student who died after a suspected hit-and-run has paid tribute to him.
Joshua Lloyd Roberts, from the Caernarfon area of Gwynedd, was a student at Cardiff University.
His family said they were “heartbroken” and described him as a “happy, outgoing, hardworking man” who “always had a lovely smile on his face”.
North Wales Police said a 19-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and failing to report a collision.
The man has since been released on bail as police continue their enquiries.
Joshua’s family said he was “devoted to all his family and would give anyone his time”.
He was a “passionate football fan and enjoyed supporting bother Everton and his hometown of Caernarfon”.

He “enjoyed travelling and enjoyed many holidays abroad”, his family said.
He was in his second year at Cardiff studying a degree in Sports Performance Analysis.

The emergency services attended but the force said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
