Two men have been arrested as part of a murder investigation in Wrexham.
North Wales Police said they were called at 6.42am on Monday to reports that a man had collapsed in a lane next to Cefn Road.
Officers attended the scene along with the Welsh Ambulance Service.
John Ithell, a 59-year-old from the Pentre Gwyn area of the city, was taken to hospital where he later died.
His family are being supported by specialist officers, police have said.
Two men from the Wrexham area have been arrested on suspicion of murder and investigations are ongoing.
