A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a delivery driver allegedly hit with his own van.
Christopher Elgifari, 31, appeared before Merthyr Crown Court on Thursday accused of murdering Mark Lang.
The 54-year-old from Cyncoed, died at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff on 15 April, more than two weeks after he suffered serious injuries on North Road, Cardiff.
Mr Lang had been delivering parcels in Laytonia Avenue in the Cathays area of the capital on 28 March when he is alleged to have been hit by his white van.
Elgifari denied one count of murder and also denied robbing Mr Lang’s van.
Following Mr Lang’s death in April, his family paid tribute to a “good man, with a lot of love to give”.
