A pensioner has died after being struck by an articulated lorry.
The incident happened on the A743 High Street in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, at around 2.50pm on Monday.
The 83-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver of the Mercedes lorry was uninjured.
The road was closed for investigation works following the crash and reopened at around 7.30pm.
Police Scotland is now appealing for information.
