Thai police have charged two Germans with murder after the abduction and death of another German, whose dismembered body was found in a freezer.
Tawee Kudthalaeng, the police chief in the southern Thailand town of Nong Prue, where the victim’s body was found, confirmed the pair had been charged and a third suspect was still being sought by officers.
A 52-year-old German man was arrested on Tuesday evening in Bangkok, and a 47-year-old German woman turned herself in to police earlier in the day, according to the Khaosod newspaper, citing Mr Kudthalaeng.
The body of 62-year-old businessman Hans-Peter Mack was found stuffed into a chest freezer in a house in Nong Prue on Monday night.
The estate agent had been missing for a week and was last seen driving his Mercedes car in the costal city of Pattaya, where he lived with his Thai wife.
Police said a large amount of money was missing from Mr Mack’s bank account, which they believe is linked to the killing.
