A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being found seriously injured in Renfrewshire.
Emergency services were called to Maxwellton Street in Paisley after the alarm was raised at around 5.40pm on Sunday.
The 26-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where medical staff described his condition as critical.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, have been arrested in connection with the incident, police said.

Maxwellton Street has been closed between Maxwellton Road and Gordon Street. Local diversions are in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing.”
