A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman at a holiday park in Somerset.
Simon Steeves, of Weston Road, is accused of murder after police were called to Diamond Meadow Lodge Park at around 4.50pm to a report of a woman with a “significant injury”.
The victim, since identified by police as 59-year-old Denise Steeves, was pronounced dead some 30 minutes later.
Detective Inspector Neil Meade, of the force’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), said: “Her family has been fully updated on this development and our continued thoughts are with them as they come to terms with what has happened.

“We will continue to carry out a full and thorough investigation as this case progresses.
“There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area and our officers are still available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.”
Steeves, 70, was due to appear before magistrates in Taunton today.
