A man has been charged with the murder of a 27-year-old woman in West Yorkshire.
Wahib Albaradan, 35, will appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court today over the death of his partner, named by police as Salam Alshara.
They had four children together, West Yorkshire Police said.
Officers found Ms Alshara badly injured at a property in Dearnley Street in the Ravensthorpe area of Dewsbury on Sunday evening and she died a short time later.
Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton said: “We are continuing our investigations into Salam’s murder and as part of those enquires, we would like to speak to anyone who knew them.
“Both parties, who were a couple, are thought to came to the UK in around 2020 and arrived in the Dewsbury area in 2021 with their four children.”
Police want anyone who knows the couple to contact them.
“We are conducting a number of enquiries to locate wider family and I would ask anyone who can assist those enquiries to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101,” said DI Shackleton.
