A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman who was shot dead in east London.
Lianne Gordon, 42, died at the scene after the shooting in Hackney earlier this week.
The Metropolitan Police said the arrested teenager was detained in the early hours of Friday and remains in custody.
An investigation was launched after officers were called to Vince Close at 6.28pm on Tuesday after reports of a shooting.
Officers attended, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, and found three people with gunshot wounds.
A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy who were also injured were taken to hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Jo Yorke, from the Met’s specialist crime command who is leading the investigation, appealed for witnesses or anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
She said: “While this arrest marks a significant development in this investigation, I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
“I have a team of dedicated and experienced officers working tirelessly to ensure Lianne’s family and friends get the answers they so desperately need; if you can help then please get in touch.”
