Former The Only Way Is Essex star Vas Morgan is in hospital in Ghana with malaria.
The 35-year-old, who starred in the series from 2014 to 2016, shared the news on social media.
Posting a photo from his hospital bed of a cannula in his hand, he wrote: “Three days in Ghana and already contracted malaria.”
“Road to recovery starts now,” he added with a crying face emoji.
Shortly afterwards he posted another update saying he was “sorry to panic everyone”.
“I perhaps should think before posting something so worrying. Me and my Sagittarius need for attention.
“I am very sick but I’m in good hands and I am told I will have a very speedy recovery. Thankfully we caught it very early.”
Malaria is a serious infection spread most commonly by infected mosquitos.
Symptoms include a high temperature, feeling and being sick, muscle pains and a cough and difficulty breathing, according to the NHS.

Malaria is common in Ghana, a country with a population of about 33.5 million. In 2021, the World Health Organisation estimated there were 5.3 million malaria cases in the country and 12,500 deaths.
The NHS travel website says the risk of contracting malaria in Ghana is high throughout the year, and taking antimalarial tablets is usually advised.
Morgan said he would be “back to the village for @vasmorganfoundation asap!”.
He set up the foundation with the aim of “fighting toward better education in Africa”, and plans to build schools in West Africa.
