A 17-year-old girl killed in a crash between a car and a van in South Ayrshire has been named.
Jo Marshall – who was driving the car – was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision at around 10am on Thursday.
Four of her passengers were taken to hospital.
A 39-year-old woman and three-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and were transported to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Two other 17-year-old girls suffered minor injuries and were taken to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock.
Miss Marshall was from Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police Scotland said the collision – involving the teenager’s blue Volkswagen Polo and a white Ford Transit – happened on the A714 between Shalloch Park roundabout and Pinmore.
The 35-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured.

Inspector Craig Beaver said: “Our thoughts remain with Jo’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances remains ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information which has not yet been passed to police to come forward.”
