The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice at the weekend and into next week.
The alert, which warns some travel disruption is likely, covers northern Scotland and is in place over Sunday.
Another warning for snow and ice has been issued for the whole of Northern Ireland and will be active from 3am on Monday until midnight.
Some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with some icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

The Met Office said there may be some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
The Met Office issued a further warning for the northern areas of Scotland for the whole of Monday, cautioning there will be a small chance of power cuts and warning other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.

It said there was also a slight chance snow-covered roads would lead to stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
