A probe has been launched into the “unexplained” death of a baby in Fife.
Police Scotland said the six-month-old boy was found unresponsive after emergency crews were called to a property in Lamond Drive, St Andrews, at around 4.50am on Sunday.
The baby was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
