More than £1.8m worth of cannabis has been seized from a Scottish port in the space of two-and-a-half weeks.
Around 51kg of cannabis was recovered by officers – with the help of a police dog called Harris – from a vehicle at Loch Ryan Port in Cairnryan, Dumfries and Galloway, on Monday 5 February.
Police Scotland said the haul was worth more than £510,000 and arrested and charged a 40-year-old man in connection with the discovery.
Two days later, cannabis reportedly worth a potential street value of £1.1m was seized after a car was stopped at the port.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with that incident.
And on Wednesday 21 February, officers stopped another car and reported a recovery of £260,000 worth of the class B drug.
A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Thursday.
