Paramedics have treated people for injuries after an attack involving a possible noxious substance.
The incident happened in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, where police were called just after 4pm on Sunday.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Sturges Road, near to the seaside town’s railway station.
It is believed a noxious substance may have been thrown during the course of the incident, police say.

Forensics officers in white suits were pictured at the scene, as the investigation continues.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in custody, a spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed.

They said in their statement: “The ambulance service treated people for minor injuries, believed to be in connection with the suspected noxious substance.
“Officers are investigating, and there will be an increased police presence to provide reassurance.”
