Solana-based Avatar. One has surpassed 120,000 monthly active users worldwide since its launch earlier this year.
The platform allows users to create personalized 3D artificial intelligence (AI) companions and has connected over 100,000 Solana wallets.
Users can define their AI companion’s personality from hundreds of thousands of variations, give it an AI-generated voice, and engage in unfiltered chats.
The platform aims to combat the global loneliness epidemic, which the World Health Organization has declared a “global public health concern” and launched a Commission on Social Connection in November 2023.
Avatar. One and Matrix One co-founder Mark Studholme said:
“I envision a future where every living person can own an AI character they define. These AI characters can help them with daily tasks, whether that be reminding you of your mom’s birthday, watching Netflix with you on the couch, or even paying your taxes.”
Avatar. One is powered by Matrix One’s decentralized protocol, which includes a character studio, avatar maker, and a library of AI large language models (LLMs). The technology allows for integration with game engines like Unreal, Unity, and Three.js, making avatars downloadable for use in over 200 games and applications.
The platform states that it prioritizes user safety and privacy, storing all interactions and user data in an encrypted database. Avatar. One is preparing for its upcoming token generation event on Polkastarter, Seedify, and ChainGPT, with plans to list on centralized exchanges.
The MATRIX token will enable participation and transactions within the Matrix One network. It will allow users to access, create, and interact with AI characters and grant holders governance rights.
