A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in West Lothian.
Gary Nicol was found seriously injured in Bankton Lane, Livingston, at about 2am on Thursday 26 September.
Emergency crews attended but the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene near Williamston Primary School.
Following a post-mortem examination, Police Scotland continued to treat the death as “unexplained”.
A murder probe was subsequently launched after a team of specialist officers carried out further inquiries.

Connor Manners, 25, was arrested last week as part of the inquiry and appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday.
Manners, of Livingston, made no plea to the single murder charge and was remanded in custody.
