Two Metropolitan Police officers have been charged with driving offences after a 25-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a patrol car in south London.
Shante Daniel-Folkes, from West Norwood, south-east London, was struck by the vehicle in Stockwell Road, Brixton, south London, as it was answering an emergency call at around 11.20pm on 9 June.
PC Nadeem Patel, 27, who was driving the car, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) watchdog has said.
The second officer, PC Gary Thomson, 30, who was driving a separate car, has been charged with dangerous driving.
They will both appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 October.
The Metropolitan Police said the officers are both currently on restricted duties.
