A motorist who was caught on camera drifting and performing doughnuts has been banned from driving for more than a year.
Daniel Bassett, 26, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at Swindon Magistrates’ Court after he was filmed by a member of the public.
The video shows him drifting, performing doughnuts and going the wrong way on a roundabout in the town on 7 May.
He was banned from driving for 15 months and ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay £85 in court costs and a £95 surcharge, as well as take an extended driving test before his ban is lifted.
Assistant Chief Constable Deb Smith, of Wiltshire Police, said: “We welcome the sentence handed down to Mr Bassett, his actions represented severely reckless behaviour and clear danger to those present and the wider public.”
