Murder detectives investigating the death of a grandmother have released a new image of their suspect.
Officers launched a manhunt for Alexander Carr following the discovery of 47-year-old Michelle Hanson’s body at a home in Brady Street, Sunderland, on 3 December.
Police have previously said that they believe the 32-year-old is “actively evading arrest”.
Now they have released a new image of Carr, who is from Sunderland but is also known to visit Newcastle and North Tyneside.
He also has links to some areas in Northumberland and London.
Northumbria Police has appealed for information about Carr’s whereabouts and a £10,000 reward has been offered by the charity Crimestoppers for information that leads to his arrest.
Members of the public should not approach him and should dial 999 immediately, police say.

Detective Chief Inspector Graeme Barr, leading the inquiry, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts continue to be with Michelle’s family at this devastating time and our specially-trained officers will support them in any way we can.
“Her family deserve answers and we are committed to finding out what has happened and bringing anyone involved to justice.”
On Thursday Ms Hanson’s family released a video message asking the public for help in getting justice for their mother.
Daughter Shannon Brown, 29, said: “It’s heartbreaking for us as a family to know we will never see her again.
“My mum was a caring, kind and loving person. She would never hurt anyone, even if someone did something to hurt her, she would forgive them because she always saw the good in people.

“Putting out a plea to the public, Ms Brown commented: “Please, if you have any information which can help the police with their investigation, don’t hesitate to get in touch with them.”
Earlier this month, Northumbria Police wrote in a tweet that Carr “considers himself able to survive outdoors”.
They said he could be taking shelter in empty buildings or outhouses.
They have previously released footage of Carr, captured on CCTV the day after Ms Hanson’s death, showing him getting on a bus.
