The stars of US comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia watched Wrexham edge closer towards promotion on Tuesday night.
The North Wales club owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds is one victory away from gaining promotion to League Two – the fourth tier of the English football system.
A win on Saturday against Boreham Wood would see Wrexham promoted from the National League after 15 consecutive seasons.
The club is the subject of a documentary series which follows its trials and tribulations as it seeks to return to the Football League for the first time since 2008.
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds were given an honour for promoting Wales and the Welsh language to the world at a New York event last year.
The Racecourse Ground also had some royal visitors last year as the King and Queen Consort met the club’s owners.
Securing promotion has been an ambition of Wrexham’s co-owners since they bought the club in November 2020.
Rob McElhenney previously said that the Red Dragons needed to “get out” of the league after he watched players mop the pitch during heavy rainfall to try and continue a later-abandoned match against Aldershot Town.

After facing Boreham Wood on Saturday, Wrexham will have one more game left of the season against Torquay United on 29 April.
