A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in West Dunbartonshire.
Police launched an investigation after a 38-year-old man ran into a takeaway for help after being stabbed in a close of flats.
The incident happened in Clydebank’s Alexander Street shortly after midnight on Monday.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday morning, the force confirmed a 62-year-old man and 29-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “They have been released pending further enquiries.”
