A woman has been charged with manslaughter after the death of an 11-year-old girl.
Fatiha Sabrin died on 11 December 2021 in Shadwell, east London.
She was found unresponsive at a residential property in Sutton Street and taken to hospital but died later the same day.
A few days after her death, her talent was recognised in a writing competition.
The Metropolitan Police say they charged Jesmin Akter, 33, with manslaughter and importing a regulated substance on Friday (28 July).
She will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 August.

The charges follow an investigation by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
