Police in Las Vegas have dropped a criminal battery investigation after rapper Cardi B was reported for throwing a microphone at an audience member.
The incident took place after the woman in the crowd appeared to splash a drink on the star as she was performing her hit Bodak Yellow on stage at Drai’s Beachclub.
Clips showing Cardi B throwing a mic – also shared by the rapper herself – went viral on social media at the end of July.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a woman reported a battery case to the force the day after the concert.
However, the force has now issued a statement saying no charges will be filed.
“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County district attorney’s office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence,” the statement read.
Several high-profile artists have been hit by objects while performing on stage in recent months.

In June, Bebe Rexha shared pictures of her black eye after she was hit by a mobile phone, and footage of a fan throwing their mother’s ashes at Pink in London quickly went viral.
In another incident, country singer Kelsea Ballerini had to stop mid-performance after a concertgoer threw an unknown object at her face.
Harry Styles has also been hit by flying objects at his gigs, including Skittles – which hit him in the eye and led to the sweets brand making a public plea on social media.
