A man has been jailed for the rape and sexual assaults of children under 13 years old.
Daniel Atkins, 33, from Bridgend has been sentenced to 15 years in prison at Cardiff Crown Court.
He was convicted of further counts of sexual assault by penetration and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Atkins’ most recent offences were committed in 2022 but the investigation led by South Wales Police discovered the abuse had been taking place over the past six years.
Officers arrested Atkins on 7 May 2022 and he was charged and remanded in custody the following day.
Detective Constable Leah Fox paid tribute to the “extreme bravery of the victims during the investigation”.
“Their courage in reporting this sickening abuse to the police resulted in the conviction and lengthy sentence for Atkins,” she said.

“We also encourage any other complainants to come forward and report offences that may have been committed against them.

Atkins was also given an extended period of five years on licence and will be a registered sex offender for life.
