A 15-year-old boy has died and six other people were left injured after a two-car crash in East Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to Boig Road in New Cumnock at around 6pm on Tuesday following the collision between a Peugeot 208 and Nissan Qashqai.
Cumnock teenager Lewis Campbell, a passenger in the Peugeot, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Peugeot and his other passengers, an 18-year-old woman and a man, 19, were taken to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock for treatment.
The 54-year-old female driver of the Nissan and her two passengers, a 13-year-old girl and a boy, 15, were also taken to hospital.
The road remains closed for investigation works.
Police Scotland is urging all those with information to come forward.

Road Policing Inspector Craig Beaver said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Lewis at this very difficult time.
