Two dozen fines have been issued over COVID rule breaches at Conservative Campaign Headquarters.
Several people were filmed dancing at a party organised by Shaun Bailey’s then-London mayoral campaign team on 14 December 2020.
The event was held at 4 Matthew Parker Street in London – the Conservatives’ campaign headquarters.
Mr Bailey stepped down from his official role in the London Assembly after a photograph emerged of him joining others at the party. He subsequently apologised.
A Conservative Party spokesman said: “Senior CCHQ staff became aware of an unauthorised social gathering in the basement of Matthew Parker Street organised by the Bailey campaign on the evening of 14th December 2020. Formal disciplinary action was taken against the four CCHQ staff who were seconded to the Bailey campaign.”
