A suspect has been arrested and charged amid a murder investigation following the death of a man in North Ayrshire.
Alan Lawson was assaulted at a property in Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend of Saturday 3 February.
The 36-year-old, from Saltcoats, died in hospital on Tuesday 6 February.
A murder probe was launched following a post-mortem examination, with police reporting officers were following a “positive line of inquiry”.
In an update on Tuesday, Police Scotland confirmed a 29-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Lawson’s death.
The suspect is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later.
