A 13-year-old boy has been charged with a string of knife and sex offences in the Newfoundpool area of Leicester.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, carried out a number of attacks over a three week period in July, including the attempted oral rape of a woman and possession of a blade.
He is charged with attempted oral rape on a female and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place on 10 July.

He is also charged with sexual assault on a female and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place on 31 July, and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place on 1 August.
The boy has been remanded in custody and will appear at Leicester Magistrates Court later today (Saturday 3 August).
