A man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after a shooting that left a nine-year-old girl seriously injured.
The girl was one of four people injured at a restaurant following the shooting in Dalston in Hackney, east London, at around 9:20pm on 29 May.
At the time, the Metropolitan Police said the child was “fighting for her life”, while three men who were sat outside – aged 26, 37 and 42 – were also injured.
In an update on Saturday, the force said Javon Reily – who was arrested in August following a vehicle stop in Chelsea Embankment – has been charged with four counts of attempted murder.
The 32-year-old, from Farnborough in Hampshire, was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on 6 September.
A 35-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and assisting an offender has been released on police bail.
The Met Police said the girl remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Her family has been informed of the charges and continue to be supported by specially trained officers, the force added.
The three men who were injured were earlier released from hospital.
