Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus.
The suspect was pictured wearing a “light pink woolly hat with ‘pearls’ on it” and carrying “a woman’s cross body purse” when the female passenger was attacked while travelling in Haringey, north London.
A number of passengers were harassed before the suspect approached the victim, the Metropolitan Police said.
The man – who was already on the bus when the woman got on – touched her several times before another passenger intervened and he was thrown off.
The force said the man, aged between 35 and 40, was also wearing a light brown hooded jacket.
The incident happened at 5.40pm on 15 January on board the 141 bus, heading to London Bridge on Turnpike Lane.
Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command shared the image and said it was of a “man they need to identify and speak with”.
Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is asked to contact police via 101 quoting reference CAD 4526/15Jan, or tweet @MetCC.
