Former world champion boxer David Haye has appeared in court charged with assault by beating.
Haye, 41, was arrested on Thursday at Heathrow Airport after arriving on a flight from abroad.
The charge is related to an incident inside a commercial venue in Hammersmith, west London on 30 October 2021, the Metropolitan Police said.
He appeared before Westminster magistrates on Friday and was bailed to appear at the same court on 9 September.
Haye retired from boxing in 2018 having won both the heavyweight and cruiserweight world titles.
