Ricky Martin will appear in court today after his nephew obtained a restraining order against him.
The temporary order was granted under Puerto Rico’s Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Law earlier this month and ends today.
Livin’ La Vida Loca singer Martin, 50, has denied all allegations against him.
His lawyer told NBC News that Martin will “directly address the judge at the hearing”, denying any romantic or sexual relationship with his nephew and challenging accusations that he stalked and harassed him.
The protection order alleges Martin and his nephew were in a romantic relationship for seven months, but have since separated.
Martin’s nephew’s name was redacted from the documents, but the pop star’s representatives confirmed who it was after rumours circulated online last week.
After the order was granted, Martin’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told US outlet Deadline: “Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges.

Crimes relating to incest in Puerto Rico can carry a sentence of up to 50 years.
Responding to the original order, Martin shared a short statement on social media earlier this month.
He told fans: “The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterizes me.
“Because it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time. I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart.”
The court hearing is set to take place at the San Juan Municipal Court, where a judge will determine whether to expand the protection order for a longer period of time or dismiss the case.
